I did a Micor mobile once (VHF-Hi to 220) It was a lot of work and the PA won't convert, so you need to address that. Also did a GE MPI portable, Came out okay, but a rock bound 2 watt, 2 channel portable is not really worth the effort, given the cost of Icom 3ATs etc. Not sure about the newer stuff. GL de W1EL
