Hello David On the remote head there are usually 2 cables, 1 red and 1 black. The Black is the remote mike, volume, mute, on/off, the Red is the channel change. Plug the Red 10 pin WIST plug into the Red socket and the Black into the Black socket.
Set the channel switch on the remote to the channel that you have the TX and RX crystals installed in. The circuit is usually in the rear of the FM-828 handbook.
