You've been bitten by a failed attempt at copy protection that shows up on year rollover. The repair steps are: 1) unlock the controller 2) set the date to todays date but 28 years in the past. (why 28 ? 7 days in a week, and 4 years in a leap year cycle. This way the day / date relationship stays the same) 3) lock the controller 4) enter 9213528835 on your DTMF pad.
