Our IFR1200 is dead. It looks like a bad battery pack made the power supply fail. After removing the battery pack (that was warm) the IFR only puts out 3.5VDC out of the 12VDC jack on the front panel. Having a bad battery pack cause a power supply problem is a known problem with the IFR 1200/1500 service monitors. Our battery was only 3 years old.
I suggest that anyone with a 1200 or 1500 remove the battery pack if you are not using that feature. It can save you a big repair. 73, Joe, K1ike
