Having VE's is the best for HAM RADIO. When I was first licensed I lived at Ft Richardson and had to go to Anchorage to take the test. When I upgraded I was in Pensylvania at Tobyhanna and the closest examination location was Philidelphia. At least with the VEs they are in your comunity and you don't have to traver MILES to take a test. David
