Replicant support is not limited to a platform or a few platforms in particular. It is simply a matter of how much can work with free software. In the case of Exynos and OMAP, it is possible to have a fully free system running without losing key functionalities of the device. However, they are not equal when it comes to bootloader issues. The criteria we usually evaluate when evaluating a new target are first based on how well the device can perform with free software and what can be freed on the system part. Then come considerations about the bootloader, the modem system (always proprietary) and firmwares (nearly always proprietary). We also look at privacy/security matters, mainly by looking at whether the device is known to have modem isolation issues. For more information on these, I recommend that you read: http://www.replicant.us/freedom-privacy-security-issues.php -- Paul Kocialkowski, Replicant developer Replicant is a fully free Android distribution Website: http://www.replicant.us/ Redmine: http://redmine.replicant.us/
