It is indeed!

That's not the case anymore, we support two tablets that do not have a
modem: the Wi-Fi versions of the Galaxy Tab 2 7" and 10.1" (p3110 and
p5110). However, I agree it would be beneficial to support more of
those, especially ones running with free bootloaders.

On Samsung devices that we support, the modem's system has to be loaded
to the chip by Replicant, so we can very easily disable it. I plan on
providing instructions for that on our wiki, but as usual, I fell
behind.

If you're interested, I can try and send some draft here. It's all about
either disabling the ril-daemon service, rild binary or removing the
libsamsung-ril.so library (all those are equivalent).

In addition, it would be useful to provide a quick and dirty way to turn
the modem off (as well as we can) from the user interface. This looks
dead easy to implement.
