Hi, GSD4T seem to be supported somehow by gpsd.
Maybe some people having the Galaxy nexus could give a try, I don't have it anymore. Here's my findings: > % git clone git://git.sv.gnu.org/gpsd.git && cd gpsd > % git grep -i gsd > gpsdecode.xml:probably of interest only to GSD developers.</para> > test/daemon/bu353s4.log:# Firmware > = ?-GSD4e_4.0.4-P1_RPATCH.07-GS008-F-GPS-4R-1201128 01/12/2012 012 > % git log --oneline -- test/daemon/bu353s4.log > [...] > 8120808 Add a SiRF-IV regression test (NMEA mode). All regressiopn > tests pass. There also other commits mentioning SIRF-IV. I already tried long time ago, and put that in the Replicant wiki[1]. Some hints: ----------- F-Droid has an application to install a Debian chroot, assuming the debootstrap doesn't have issue with the lack of free space, that might be an easy way to try gpsd. References: ----------- [1]http://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/GSD4t PS: Note that the galaxy nexus has a proprietary and signed bootloader, so I wonder how much time it's worth. Denis.
