I agree. They certainly have a bad track record for promising things they can't deliver on.
I guess the pieces just aren't there to make a libre x86 computer, but regardless, there are already better choices freedom wise than the Intel i7.
I'm not sure about mobile devices, how easy or possible it would be to make a libre phone? It seems Openmoko/Golden Delicious have been trying for some time and are still not quite there yet.
So I guess this answers my question to an extent. Josh
