Hi,

I just ordered a S3 I9305, and then found out that Replicant doesn't yet
support voice or SMS for this model ... doh.

Has anyone yet tried sending AT commands using qcserial? Or will this
simply not work?

I9305 arrived today, tried installing LineageOS. SIM (which works with
stock android) isn't recognized (No SIM) on Lineage, so perhaps it's an
upstream problem, rather than an immediate problem with Replicant?

Josh

After flashing a new modem image on LineageOS, I managed to get service.
This worked, but unfortunately, I didn't manage to translate the same
success to replicant (still says no sim, even after re-flashing modem).

I also tested the non-free binary firmware, by copying from the
LineageOS bin files to replicant, and bluetooth seemed to work (turned
on), but no wifi.

It's worth noting that stock modem firmware (4.1.1) didn't work out of
the box for LineageOS; the firmware which did can be found here:

Of course, I do not recommend anyone use any of this firmware
(proprietary), but it may help to solve (some of the) issues in
replicant for this device.

Just got a radio log, samsung-ril is missing the following (in order of log):

"RIL_REQUEST_START_LCE"
"SIGNAL_STRENGTH"
"SET_SUPP_SVC_NOTIFICATION"
"RIL_REQUEST_SET_TTY_MODE"
"GET_CURRENT_CALLS"
"RIL_REQUEST_QUERY_TTY_MODE"

all gave "RADIO_NOT_AVAILABLE" and produced errors.
