Okay, this is bad news. Having a phone I can't make calls with is no
option
Do you know how to install the proprietary libqmi?

There is a free software rewrite of the proprietary libqmi, called
libqmi-glib.
https://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/QMI-RIL
Above is the link to the progress in getting that to work with
replicant.
Apparently only data is supported thus far, and last time I heard,
telephony didn't work. So until it is supported, I and yourself will
most likely be waiting for progress updates.
I suggested using the serial interface for the modem software, but
that's been shot down several times ... basically we are waiting for
someone who knows how, to add support for telephony.
I'm not sure if Wolfgang is still around or not ... it's been over a
year since any updates on QMI-RIL. :(

Hi, thank you for replying.
Is there a way to install libqmi myself? Also, is it free software?
I assume it isn't free software, but I would install it if it's the
only
hope.

Hi, just had a look at the Note II, and think lineage OS uses libqmi.
My
only guess is that the modem is not yet supported and there is an
error
in the documentation, but could be wrong. If the modem is supported,
then it would be useful to know how, for the Galaxy S III LTE also.

Hi,
I already wrote a message to the mailing list some time ago but
received
no reply.
I have the (common) problem that my SIM card is not recognized under
Replicant.
I tried all the solutions made on the forum and elsewhere but
without
success.
The phone is a Galaxy Note II, Replicant version is 6.003
The exact situation is that I can receive calls and messages, but
SIM
card is stated as not recognized. I can't make calls, write messages
or
setup a mobile data connection.
It is perfectly recognized in other phones under stock Android.
Does anybody know what I could do to fix this?
Should I send my radio logs to the mailing list? What sensitive data
should be removed from the radio logs before?
Please help me, I don't know how to solve this. Thanks
