I already added the Asix driver in Replicant 6 for several devices I had, and I could add it for the devices that I don't have as well, as it's easy for me to do and it woulnd't hurt to have this driver as well for the other devices even if it doesn't work. However to make sure that it works on the Galaxy Note II (N7100) you will need someone to test that change. That might require a Galaxy Note II (N7100), an Asix compatible adapter, an USB OTG adapter, a good battery, the ability to compile Replicant 6 and some time to do the compilation and testing. Once this is done, to be able to use that change, you will need to find someone that we trust that could make a new Replicant 6 release. As my priority is to work on Replicant 9, I will most probably not be able to find the time to do it. Besides I will be funded by Nlnet as soon as part of the work is completed, so I cannot accept funding for that right now. For that part you could try to contact the following people to see if they are interested and able to be paid to do the release: - Joonas Kylmälä (a Replicant developer currently working on Replicant 9) - Wolfgang Wiedmeyer (a former Replicant developer who did the last Replicant 6.0 release) - Paul Kocialkowski (a former Replicant developer) Doing it will require to build and test Replicant 6 for every supported devices, and to document the installation of the new Replicant version. The recovery might be signed with a different key, as the previous release was signed by the developer in charge of making the release at the time. Replicant users, me included, could also help making this happen by testing it. Personally I might be able to spend some time to test the release very quickly on one of the devices I have if we can't find someone else to do that. Denis.
