Hi,

Unfortunately the "Replicant" trademark is already used in a very
similar domain.

Replicant[1] is also a radical 100% free software Android distribution
certified by the FSF for smartphones and tablets.

It's is being used and developed by people that are very strongly
against non-free software, surveillance, and are very critical
about the use of AI and technology in general.

The issue is that using "Replicant" for a startup that has
products and solutions related to phones leads to misleading
headlines like "Replicant raises $7 million for bots that
answer customer questions over the phone" in Venturebeat[2].

As we also got some huge funding recently, both from Handshake,
and from the Nlnet foundation, it is very easy to make confusions.

For instance, if that headline makes it to the general press, people
would think that Replicant (the operating system) raised $7 million
of dollars to develop a 100% free software application that can
answer the phone, which is not the case.

A very simple way to fix that would be to make sure to use 'AI' in
the name of your company (for instance it could become 'Replicant AI'
or Replicant.ai).

This way people would not make any confusion and the company could
advertise the fact that you provide services and/or products around
artificial intelligence.

People could also think that the Replicant.ai company is somewhat
related to the Operating System. In that case potential customers
would hopefuly expect your solutions to be 100% free software.
