A way to deal with installation issues or broken hardware could be
either to try and see if you manage to install Replicant or to ask more
specific questions (like can Replicant work with a broken camera), what
do I risk if the installation goes wrong, etc.

Thanks for responding.
By mistake I pressed volume up and power. After pressing
volume down and power, I got into the download
mode. On the samsung gt p3110 replicant got installed.
On the samsung gt p5100 replicant did not
get installed. Indicating the device is defective. Pressing volume down and
power displays the download mode. But selecting continue starts
android. It does not enable installing
a rom.
Any suggestions on resetting the device or reinstall thebios of the device?
