If one is providing extra information to a resolved bug,
the option to reopen the bug should be provided.

If one is expected to add a manual cc: to [email protected],
at least provide a link to instructions, such as:

http://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control

I know what has to be done, and where to retrieve needed information.
Thanks for your interest, but there no need for you to comment bugs
without providing any additional information.

Sorry if it was obscure, but "providing extra information to a resolved bug" (ie by the "x" command in reportbug) wasn't mentioned in the previous discussion that I could see.

I also meant to add that this option should appear automatically if one is the original bug reporter. If one is not the original bug reporter, the situation is more complicated.

The link to http://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control was also intended to be helpful to anyone wanting to understand the process of reopening a bug via a message to [email protected].

The last message posted against this bug before mine was just over 2 years ago and I was keen to see something done as I'd had a developer ask me to reopen a bug that he had closed if I still had problems, without providing any link to how to do this.

Arthur.

Regards,
