I've just tried to replicate this bug replacing sendmail with a script that simply does "exit 1" and that's what I got: Report will be sent to Sandro Tosi <[email protected]> Submit this report on checkgmail (e to edit) [Y|n|a|c|e|i|l|m|p|q|d|t|s|?]? Sending message via /usr/sbin/sendmail... Original write failed, wrote bug report to /tmp/reportbug-checkgmail-20110816-398-lrFVxO And that's the result I'd expected looking at the source code. If you can provide a way I can replicate this, I'll investigate further, else I'll close this report.
