Please take a closer look at the error. the line marked >>>> indicates
an error somehow easy_install/pypi is trying to look for the packages
named "repoze.who friendlyform-1.0b2" notice the space. Then probably
for some unsafe split it's erroring out because it's trying to get
repoze.who which hasn't been installed yet (the reason the double
install works now is obvious)
Therefore I think this is a combination of
a- some weird issues with - named in easy_install/pypi
b- some bug in easy_install which is making it abort when it shouldn't.
By the way pip does not suffers from this, at least I have not
encountered the problem.

I'll have to get myself a r.w* dev environment to track this better,
maybe over the weekend...
