I see. Perhaps there could be a validator sitting in front of the
compiler which (as the default) warns of invalid markup.
The correct behavior in my view is to accept any markup, but ideally
warn (using ``logging.warn``) about it.
For input possibly. I consider invalid markup as possible output to be a
bug in the template engine.
