Position: Infrastructure UNIX Support
Duration: 7+ Months
Location: Plano, TX (Locals Preferred)
Rate: $35-37/hr Best
Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT Production Support role
Perl & Unix scripting and PHP
3+ years creating code and scripting in operating system shells
3+ years UNIX system administration experience
Experience working in a 24/7 enterprise environment
A big plus in skills would be GIS Sterling experience.
Production Support experience on UNIX servers with an excellent working
knowledge of operating system concepts (HP-UX 11.xx preferred) to provide
performance tuning and timely troubleshooting resolution of complex issues
including high-pressure system down events.
Practices attentive and active listening; flexible and adaptable; drives for
results and knowledgeable about how projects and tasks should be accomplished;
demonstrates good follow through on information and project status.

Through the use of a hands-on approach, support infrastructure applications and

to ensure the integrity of production systems in order to meet established
Plan and execute software upgrades, script enhancements and make
recommendations targeted to enhance the efficiency, security and stability of
the gateway environment.
Participate in the Incident Management and Problem Management processes as a
resolver accountable for root cause analysis, resolution and reporting.
Ensure that all production changes are processed according to Change Management
policies and procedures.
Verify that appropriate levels of Quality Assurance have been met for all new
and existing products.
