Position: Siteminder Administrator Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 3+ Month contract Rate: ALAP Siteminder Administrator To handle the overall administration and technical support of Netegrity Siteminder Single Sign On systems and Ping Federate, ensuring acceptable and consistent levels of performance through optimization; oversee monitoring and design of tools to manage the environment effectively; apply all patches and system upgrades, perform configuration management of all associated software and hardware, and perform system integration testing of server operating systems, related utilities and hardware; work to ensure that effective data security, integrity, monitoring and recoverability procedures are in place at all times; serve as focal point for applications development / infrastructure teams for developing, configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and performing software administration for distributed applications; produce project plans and progress reports for management; follow rigorous system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management best practices, comply with internal Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other compliance related processes, and adhere to change control and problem management procedures Tasks and Responsibilities: a.. Integrate various web based applications with Netegrity SiteMinder and Ping Federate. b.. Assist with server configuration, application development, and software debugging for documentation purposes. c.. Work with Sun One Directory (LDAP), Active Directory, and SiteMinder. d.. Provide application support for the Netegrity SiteMinder infrastructure. e.. Configure end-to-end monitoring or performance and availability of systems and applications. f.. Collects, analyzes, and manages performance and capacity data for identifying trends in order to optimize performance. g.. Analyzes system use and provides reports on average, peak, and guideline values for each performance element to track resource use. h.. Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on systems problem resolution activities and tools. i.. Identifies and recommends process improvements to provide more effective troubleshooting of complex hardware and software problems. j.. Produce project plans and progress reports, as required by management. k.. Responds to direct questions from IT Management or the business on the effects of emerging technologies on product development and business directions. l.. Typically experienced across two IT areas or single operational area across multiple computing platforms. Responsibilities more heavily weighted toward analytics than operations Required education/experience: a.. B.S./Masters Degree (MS) or Technical Institute Degree/Certificate in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, technical designations and work experience. b.. Approximately 5 plus years of related experience in IT functions c.. Must have strong Background in SiteMinder Single Sign On and application integration. d.. Must have working experience with Ping Federate Federated Identity. e.. Basic knowledge with Internet Information Services (IIS), Solaris OS environment, Apache, WebLogic, Active Directory, and SiteMinder. f.. Knowledgeable with SunOne or Apache web server. g.. Basic knowledge of SunOne LDAP interfaces, as well as certificates for both SSL web sites and user authentication. h.. Ability to install, configure, test, and document software packages, including web page development. i.. Knowledge of WebLogic and Tomcat.
