Project Summary and Position Overview: (A detailed description of the

Thomson Reuters Markets is currently pursuing a program to develop and
implement the next generation of Editorial production capabilities
supporting the Thomson Reuters Editorial vision to provide the world’s most
reliable, accurate and insightful news. Scope of the program will include
projects encompassing:
1) News production (text, pictures, graphics, and TV)
2) Improvements in speed and low latency
3) Multimedia production and publishing
4) Collaboration across all contributors to news content
5) Workflow, automation, packaging and metadata capabilities across media
This position of Project Manager will play a key role by providing project
management expertise to ensure successful delivery (within time, budget,
quality guidelines) of one or more projects under the program.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Responsible for full life-cycle project management of one or more projects
supporting News Editorial Technology.
Responsible for all aspects of project management, including, but not
limited to:
- Project estimation and scheduling
- Resource leveling
- Impact analysis
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Status reporting
- Escalation of major issues
Responsible to report status to the News Technology PMO and project
leadership team.
Responsible for managing consultancy and 3rd party relationships where

Global nature of project team will require flexibility in working hours in
order to ensure sufficient interaction across time zones.  Some travel may
be required.

A B.S. (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
field is required.
Masters Degree, MBA or equivalent preferred

Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience & associated
number of years of experience:
5+ years experience
Experience managing large scale software development and implementation
Experience managing large cross functional global project teams
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and User-Centered
Experience managing project teams consisting of internal as well as external
resources (vendor, consultant, 3rd party)
