End Client: City of New York (ECTP Project) Duration: approx 10 weeks – could extend to 4/29/10 Location: Brooklyn, NY Pay Rate: open *Request data:* Description : Sr. Chief Solution Architect Required Skills : Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Geographic Information System (GIS), Radio Communications, Map Client, AVL Systems, GPS (see details) Location: Brooklyn, NY Start Date : 10/12/09 End Date : 01/29/10 Detailed description: We have an immediate need on the *EMS CAD Stay Alive project* for a *Sr. Chief Solution Architect or Sr. Business Analyst. *This is for a senior level person with excellent analytical skills and a broad range of expertise in all phases of the development life cycle. This will be the lead technical person planning tasks and managing staff in the execution of these tasks relative to established task and project plans. This person is capable of managing tasks and determining the steps to take to resolve complex technical issues. This person will follow up with both project staff to ensure tasks are carried out in accordance with established timelines and plans. Experience with project and task planning and status reporting is needed. Experience with requirements development, as well as the design, operation, development of data for and deployment and testing of complex systems involving control centers, call centers, or other client-server systems is a must. This includes participating in or providing input to: defining system-level and detailed requirements for complex client-server systems, system-level design, development, integration and testing, and maintenance. *Desired Skills and Technology Exposure: * Experience with developing and delivering the following systems is desirable: * Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) * Geographic Information System (GIS) * Radio Communications * Map Client * Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) systems * Global Positioning System (GPS) and other location technologies CAD: Familiarity with basic operational considerations for Dispatch systems (especially as it relates to emergency medical services or fire operations) such that you can contribute to requirements development and evaluate the design and implementation based on those requirements. Software applications: * MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, Access) Work must be done on site in Brooklyn, NY - Monday - Friday (8-5). Resource may also be asked to support the AVL and Computerized Triage projects as well as EMS CAD Stay Alive.
