*Length: 6 Months+* * * *Local Candidates Only* *ONLY CITIZENS, GC HOLDERS AND EAD* * * *Candidates must possess a CCNA and/or a CCNP.* *Candidates must have extensive experience working in a 24/7 NOC and be flexible with their schedule. * * * * * *Primary Skill Requirement:* *Cisco Certified CCNA/CCNP, NOC 24 X 7 operations center experience* * * *Description:* * * *This position is for a NOC engineering position. Candidate must be flexible to work any schedule to cover a 24 X 7 operation.* *•Candidate will be responsible for operational tasks supporting high availability, rapid recovery and restoration of a complex and large network environment. Proactively monitor and control all productions systems and networks to maximize systems availability.* *•Analyzes and ensures the resolution of technical and client problems while providing quality customer service.* *•Evaluates and develops network/operational solutions to fulfill business requirements.* *•Candidate will lead resolution and recovery efforts of cross-functional technicians and troubleshoot issues reported by proactive alarming or problem notifications reported by end-users.* *•Candidate needs to be able to translate highly technical ideas/principles into comprehensive/descriptive business language for peer groups/management to effectively assist/resolve issues.* *•Candidate will have the ability to multitask: trouble resolution several devices while providing status on the phone and documenting tickets.* * * *Required Skills:* * * *•Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems and 3 to 5 years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.* *•Demonstrated network experience through applicable certificate programs CCNA required CCNP preferred.* *•Excellent technical and analytical skills, backed with years of experience in all levels of business interaction.* *•Strong business knowledge. Excellent knowledge of networks and service (e.g., LAN/WAN//DNS/VPN/ with strengths in Cisco components.* *•Firewalls/IDS/Sniffer/Appvantage/Netvantage).* *•Excellent understanding/knowledge of security principals* *•Excellent understanding/knowledge of Content Data Networking principals PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, email, etc.)* *•Excellent interpersonal skills.* *•Strong Decision-making and leadership abilities.* *•Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities and ability to handle multiple tasks.* *•Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated to close issues with careful attention to:* * * *A. Step-by-step documentation of the issue, root cause, and resolution steps.* *B. Continual communication to management of trouble resolution steps and issue resolution progress.* *C. Thorough follow-up and summary on closed issues.
