Hi, I have a Direct Client requirement for a *Software Configuration/Build/Release Management consultant*.
*Location: Holmdel, NJ Duration: 12+ months * *Duties:* Develop maven and ant scripts to improve/automate build process utilizing Cruise Control. Develop/maintain make scripts to run C\C++ builds. Run and deploy builds for multiple applications. Maintain SVN repositories, and assist developers in the resolution of issues related to the utilization of development tools such as Eclipse. Work with development teams to coordinate creation of modules/branches/code commits, and all other work related to the maintenance of repositories. Create and maintain wiki pages to for process documentation. Assist QA and development teams in the installation and maintenance of applications in the integration and QA environments. Work with network and security teams to resolve networking issues. Work with deployment teams to organized applications deployment. Write release notes *Skills:* *OS:* Good experience with Unix/Linux, but good knowledge of Windows will be helpful. *Networking:* Good experience with TCP/IP protocols, Unix/Linux related system files, and networking tools *Build and code analysis tools:* gmake, Ant, Maven, CruiseControl, Fortify, Clover, Coverity *Programming Languages:* Perl, shell scripting, PHP, HTML, XML, Ruby, Java, C/C++, Python *Source code control:* Good experience with SVN, and knowledge/understanding of bug admin tools such as TestDirector, Trac, Bugzilla. *Software Process:* General knowledge and experience with application life cycle process. *Web servers and applications containers:* Resin, Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, Weblogic.
