Consumer Finance Data-Mart Enhancements

*Senior Business Ana*lyst to drive research and recommendations for PACS
project - Public Access Lock Down: GN and Inquiry Access project. This
resource must be well versed in *mainframe access security modeling*, and
will spearhead the approach required to analyze the existing environment,
and document the recommended approach for cleaning up the existing security
models in place across GN to allow for a roles-based access model
implementation. This resource must understand *Top Secret profiles*, to
include Transaction Authorization Records and Security Option Records (TARs
Highly experienced developer with strong proficiency in base SAS and SQL
needed to develop reports and data extracts, in relation to an established
Credit Card data warehouse. Data warehouse back end database is MS SQL
Server 2000/2005. Significant prior experience in using base SAS to create
reports and data extracts, especially in situations when the data source is
relational, is essential. Strong knowledge of SQL to query data in general
(in addition to using SAS for reports and/or extracts) also essential.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communications skills are
required. Client facing role; resource is expected to be able to interact
with business SMEs to clarify and/or define reporting requirements.
Attention to detail and ability to apply data validation and quality
assurance activities to report output is required. Fast-paced work
environment; resource will likely be working on several reporting requests
in parallel. There is a possibility to extend the resource need past the
initially projected length of the contract.
Technical Knowledge: SQL; SAS; Data Warehousing; SQL Server
Senior *ETL DEVELOPER*
Highly experienced ETL developer needed to implement data loads and
transformations for Credit Card data warehouse. Existing warehouse is very
large (7-8 terabytes) and covers multiple subject areas such as Finance,
Operations, Risk, and Marketing. Primary ETL development experience in *MS
SQL Server (2000 and/or 2005) is required.* *Use of DTS, SSIS and
Transact-SQL* to create data load and transformation processes required.
Experience developing SQL Server *OLAP* applications strongly preferred and
would be a plus (Analysis Services 2000/2005). Knowledge of both
transaction system database and data modeling design approaches
(entity-relationship diagrams, normalization) as well as business
intelligence design approaches (star schema, denormalization). Demonstrated
experience in developing data architectures and ETL application
architectures related to warehouse data sourcing. Expert knowledge of data
warehouse architectural concepts along with experience in promoting ETL and
OLAP applications to production environment.
Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data
structures or application code to remedy performance problems.
Significant client interaction will be part of this contract assignment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Resource must
be able to assist in driving out business requirements and business rules
for data transformations. Attention to detail and committed to creating
high quality code which adds value to data warehouse data assets.
