*Overview:*
The Informatica Administrator will assist the different solutions teams
assuring that the shared Informatica platform is functioning optimally and
solutions are designed and deployed to take optimal advantage of it.
Consultant will serve as the first line of support internally for any
Informatica issues raised by the solutions teams
*Requirements:*
1. Must have 3-5 yrs experience building and managing Informatica
Solutions including large volume ETL processing {*Informatica -8.6.1}*
2. Must have 2-3+ year experience as an* Informatica administrator
utilizing *PowerCenter and Data Explorer
3. Should have solid exp deploying Informatica’s “push down”
technology such as:
a. Informatica Workflow on Grid and Session on Grid
b. Informatica Web Services
4. Must utilize and consult with the client on a "best practices"
approach to Project Management and Change Management.
5. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the

*Overview:*
Key responsibility is for the Logical Data Model Project deliverables with
oversight and guidance of data modeling for two additional ODS projects
(Provider and Reference Codes).* Expert level data modeler with significant
expertise with health care payer data and business processes and industry
standard models, as well as enterprise data warehousing.*
*Requirements:*
*1. **Must have 7+ yrs of Data Management/Data modeling experience
with Oracle on UNIX*
a. Building new data sets and data structures as required to support
business needs, and for managing the distribution, replication, and archival
of data
b. Manage the balance of current and future needs in both design and
content
2. Leverages prior health care payer modeling experience to create,
refine or extend the enterprise data model within the scope of the business
requirements.
a. Creates conceptual data models including categories, subject
areas, key entities and entity relationships conforming to the applicable
data standards within the scope of the business requirements and leveraging
prior health care payer experience.
b. Creates logical data models that extend and attribute the
conceptual models to an appropriate level of detail, along with accompanying
documentation in conformance with the applicable data standards.
c. Validate that the business requirements and technical
specifications are complete, consistent, concise, and achievable.
3. Responsible for collaborating with business analysts and data
analysts to resolve gaps in business specifications to ensure those
decisions are documented.
4. Must have previous experience developing & architecting the
following:
a. Create subject area model
b. Create or review business enterprise model
c. Interpret requirements
d. Create logical, structural & physical staging area model
e. Create logical, structural & physical distribution model
f. Create logical, structural & physical relational model
g. Create logical, structural & physical dimensional model
h. Develop processes for capturing and maintaining metadata from all
data components

Job Description:
One of my clients in Washington DC is looking for an Informatics – ETL
Senior
Developer/Architect for a 6+ month project. This candidate should have
experience working
with ETL tools with multiple RDBMS (prefer DB2) environments on multiple
platforms.
Additional functional responsibilities shall include:
Installation, configuration and administration of ETL tools
Management and maintenance of ETL tools’ software releases
Source and target analysis
Design and develop automated ETL processes
Monitor load process to ensure accurate data feeds
Supervise, guide, direct and mentor junior team members including managing a
team of individuals
Ensure that the ETL requirements are adequately understood and documented
Design the ETL application architecture based on the documented requirements
Assist in the development of the ETL application and lead the Data
Acquisition development team
Perform QA functions for the ETL application, including ensuring that system
and integration test plans are developed and executed
Develop detailed ETL specifications based on business requirements
Develop and test the ETL application following all ETL standards and
architecture
Assist in the design of the ETL application
Education or training in analytical/programming skills, computer science, or
database technologies and experience operating within high-tech environment
Six (6) plus years experience working in large, complex technical efforts
involving multiple facets of a business system or IT program
Experience in information systems development, functional and data analysis,
programming, system design or computer software
Performed in a leadership role on an Ab Initio project with design and
development focus
Skills:
Advance knowledge of Ab Initio Graphical Development Environment (GDE)
Advance knowledge of Ab Initio Data Profiler
Advance knowledge of Ab Initio EME
Advance knowledge of UNIX
Installation, configuration and administration of ETL tools
MA/MS Degree or equivalent experience
Certification on ETL tools preferred, but not required
