The contractor is responsible for completing all work assigned and follows the methodology described below. Analysis - Research and analysis of software problems and new releases. Research and analyze impact of problem resolution and new release implementation on systems applications. Testing - Conduct sandbox, development, system, integration and user acceptance testing of the system changes. Perform advanced technical work to establish and maintain databases supported by BIO, which includes IMS, DB2, and DB2 Universal Database (UDB) for z/OS and NT. Support physical database design and development and implementation of database recovery, reorganization and backup procedures as well as the monitoring of database performance. Provide technical assistance to application developers for problems and procedures related to the use of all listed executive software. Insure systems have adequate resources to support the current operating environment and plans for new development and anticipated expansion of databases. Assist in managing the Department's DASD inventory to ensure that all production databases and systems have adequate resources.
