Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 10+ years

Description: Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual
contributor and/or team lead for the most complex technical support and
operating systems or subsystems initiatives. Leads, conducts, and
coordinates the analysis, planning, and implementation of systems software
and/or hardware. Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains,
modifies, and documents operating systems. Plans and defines systems
software and/or hardware requirements and determines system specifications
and/or customizations. Directs the design of subsystems and integration of
total systems. Identifies and resolves the most complex problems. Provides
leadership, direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.

Primary Responsibilities

 Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the

 The ability to coordinate with multiple groups to resolve complex
issues: Understand multi-tier, multiple platform environments, and System
administration. Good verbal and written communication skills with particular
emphasis on incident management. Candidate should be familiar with Service
Level Agreements/Operational Level Agreements and be able to handle multiple
incidents and prioritize between them. Must be able to work in a high
pressure/visibility environment.

 The individual will also research, analyze and incorporate emerging
technologies into the UNIX/WINDOWS environments for access management,
patching and (possibly) source control and deployment.

 Versatility is a key measure to the success of this position.


Minimum Skill requirements

 4+ Years of proven leadership as a team lead or manager

 4+ years demonstrable project management skill

 4+ years experience in an Enterprise Production Support

 4+ years of experience administering, monitoring and managing
Solaris (8/9/10), SUSE Linux (9) and Red hat Linux.

 3+ years as a Systems Administration on Win2k3 + Win2k8

 2+ years of Weblogic 9.10/WebSphere 6.x and up, support

 4+ years experience in troubleshooting hardware and operating

Desired Skill Requirements

 Experience with high-availability and Disaster-Recovery strategies
using technologies such as VERITAS Cluster Services, SRDF, and

 Demonstrable skills writing best-practice documentation and
solution documents are a necessity.

 Demonstrable skills in troubleshoot basic hardware problems on HP,
SUN, or IBM Platforms, as well as, Client, HP, and Egenera blade

 ITIL knowledge or certification

Demonstrable organizational skills such as managing time, meetings and
verbal communication skills are a must.
