*Description *
Individual will have necessary experience in all phases of the web
application development life cycle, as well as an excellent understanding of
customer needs, quality assurance, and business strategy. Candidates should
have expertise in the development of multi-platform, distributed multi-tier
applications, and object-oriented programming. In addition, they should be
adept at working in a team environment and comfortable mentoring less senior
colleagues.
Position normally requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science,
electrical engineering, or related field, plus a minimum of seven years of
experience working with a mix of web technologies such as Java, XML, Flash,
JavaScript, SOAP, and HTML/DHTML. A demonstration of equivalent work-related
experience would substitute for a degree.
Emphasis on design through the use of tools such as Adobe Photoshop and
Illustrator is mandatory. Demonstration of prior designs, models or wire
frames is required.
*Duties/Responsibilities *
1. Provide creative vision and direction in the planning and implementation
of web-based applications.
2. Gather and assess business requirements and develop specifications and
project plan for web-based applications.
3. Design, develop, and maintain multiple static or dynamic websites,
including content and graphics, which may or may not use one or more
databases.
4. Coordinate and communicate cross-functional activities between product
development, marketing, infrastructure, and other teams in bringing new
applications online.
5. Collaborate with web administrators to guide the support and delivery of
website applications and feature additions.
6. Integrate complex websites with back-end systems such as databases.
7. Quickly and accurately diagnose and fix bugs.
8. Write test plans and test results and integrate into overall scope of
projects.
*Requirements *
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering or
equivalent experience.
Min 5 years development experience using a combination of the following
languages or tool sets:
Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET using C#.NET and VB.NET, HTML/DHTML, XML, SOAP,
JavaScript.
Additional languages such as PHP and CGI/PERL are a plus.
Min. 3 years design experience using the following tools: Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Flash.
Min. 3 years database architecture using SQL Server, including security
protocols and Linked Servers. Oracle and Microsoft Access is a plus.
Min. 2 years working with the various components necessary for supporting a
website
Experience with Telerik RadControls a plus
Experience with Telerik SiteFinity a plus
Excellent written and communication skills
