1. Kernel/Virtualization Engineer
Location: Boston, MA
Our Client is a vibrant, fast-paced company in the picturesque hi-tech I-95
belt just west of Boston, MA. Their software platform enables enterprises to
run their applications in the right cloud computing environment— securely,
simply and without changes. Applications remain tightly integrated with
enterprise data center tools and policies, and can be moved easily between
different cloud environments and back into the data center based on the
requirements of the business.
We are urgently looking for people who have worked with operating systems at
a Kernel level – any Virtualization background would be a great plus.
Candidates must have a deep understanding of the underlying operating
systems and virtualization technologies. Programming assignments include
mapping instructions and memory, device drivers, improved switching &
patching, and performance tuning. We are looking for dynamic, self
motivated, independent individuals who are excited about the challenge of
running Linux and Windows on new hardware or virtualized environments.
He/she will need past experience with operating systems either in porting,
kernel programming, debugging, memory management, and/or virtualization.
1. Must have Deep knowledge of the Linux Kernel (page tables, device drivers
2. Must have worked on Kernel debugging.
3. Should have good experience on Operating system architectures, protection
ring model, multi processor & locking, x86 & x64, etc.
4. Must have worked on Virtualization (Xen, vmware, KVM and hyperV).
5. Should have Complex problem solving skills.
