*Subject:* *NetIQ Administrator*
*Location*: Marysville, OH
*Duration: *4 months
*Prioritize / Responsibilities: *
· Responsibility for the reliability, stability and day-to-day
operation of Honda’s NetIQ Environment
· Responsible for Generating ad hock reports
· Identify and create trending reports
· Work with the Server Team to assist in troubleshooting server
issues
· Work with Application Teams to assist in troubleshooting server
issues
· Provide SOX validation and reports on demand.
· Assist with project work such as server builds, upgrades, etc.
· Performance and alert monitoring of servers
· Respond to level 2 trouble calls, escalate to level 3 (supplier)
as necessary
· Ensure Knowledge base is updated and current.
· SOX login reporting
· Other duties as assigned
*Required Skills - 'MUSTS'*
· Experience with *NetIQ AppManager 7.x* or greater
· Experience of *NetIQ Analysis Center*
· Understanding of NetIQ Control Center and Management groups
· Understanding of NetIQ Knowledge Base
· Understanding of System Management Practices
· Proficient in *SQL queries*
· Able to work in a constantly changing, high pressure environment
· Able to multi-task and prioritize work
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent customer relation skills
· Excellent troubleshooting skills, experience in root cause
identification methodology
· Works well in a team environment
· Understanding of basic networking
*Daily Tasks Performed:*
Daily Non-Support functions:
· Create monitoring jobs as needed.
· Assist groups in identifying monitoring needs.
· Research event trends
· Charting requests
· Complete service requests
Daily Support Functions
· Troubleshoot NetIQ Agent Communication issues
· Troubleshoot NetIQ Job Issues
· Troubleshoot NetIQ Server Communication
· Respond to trouble calls
· Generate charts for application and hardware support groups

*Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS':*
· Basic Knowledge of HP SIM
· Some experience with UNIX Shell, VB, Powershell, and Perl
Scripting.
· Detailed knowledge of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
· Knowledge of DOS commands
· Some Windows Administration and/or AIX Administration
Basic project management skills (ability to generate a WBS or basic project
plan)
