Position : Citrix Support Engineer
Location : Mason, OH
Duration: 4+ Months Contract
Position will be responsible for managing the operation of a Virtual
Desktop Infrastructure supporting a large Citrix XenDesktop based
environment and several thousand Widows 7 based Virtual Desktops.
Additionally the position will need to participate in and support capacity
planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for VDI systems,
software, and clients as well as coordinating with network engineering,
data center operations, business application, and database administration
functions to realize industry best practices while meeting corporate
objectives. Resource will also be responsible for operational management
of the environment including:
• Implementing policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure security
through secure system access, monitoring, control, and routine security
• Install and configure Citrix servers and applications and analyze
application usage in the testing of programs, applications, and
• Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated
training plans for both Citrix system administration and end-user access.
• Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements for
application availability and security
• Perform and test system configuration backups and restores to ensure
system recovery from outages or errors.
• Release and patch management of the infrastructure and coordination for
other areas of service for release management.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and
software problems on Citrix servers and client access software.
