As discussed the opening for the Position “Statistical Modeler” in the
Location “Denver CO”

 *JD for Statistical Modeler:*

*Essential Skills: *

o          The candidate should be a Statistics/Economics/Management
post-graduate with 6-7 years of strong Predictive Modeling experience in
any of the domains like Telecom, Communication & Media, Retail, and BFSI.
Experience in Communication & Media or Entertainment industry is a plus

o          The candidate should have strong hands on experience on Modeling
Techniques like Regression Analysis, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree –
CHAID, C4.5, CART, Neural Network

o          Should have strong hands on experience in Data Mining concepts
like Association Rule Mining, Naïve Bayes methods, Cluster Analysis –
Hierarchical, K-Means Method etc.

o          Should have fair understanding of Time Series Forecasting

o          Should have at least 5 years of experience in handling large

o          Should have strong interpersonal skills like leading and driving
customer meetings, internal stakeholders’ meetings etc.

o          Need to have strong business acumen to understand customer needs
and convey it to the offshore team sitting in India

*Software Proficiency: *

o          The candidate should have 6-7 years of hands on experience in
analytical tools- SAS/SPSS/R

o          The candidate should have fair knowledge of Predictive Modeling
and Data Preparation using R (>= Version 2.15.1)

          Knowledge of External Data reading from sources like – csv,
textpad, Excel etc.

          Knowledge of R Connect to relational databases like Oracle,
Teradata, SQL Server etc.

          Knowledge of data manipulation using reshape package

          Knowledge of reading and restructuring longitudinal data using
ts, tseries packages

          Knowledge of randomforest, rpart, party packages

          Working knowledge of map reduce functions and packages like
rHDFS, rmr, rHADOOP etc.   will be considered an added advantage

*Roles and Responsibility: *

o          The candidate need to work from Client Location in US

o          Should be responsible for timely delivery of all customer
deliverables with due quality checks

o          Should understand the customer needs and business requirements
clearly and work with Offshore team sitting in India to ensure smooth

o          Should pitch in front of customer whenever new opportunity is
visible and apprise management of the developments

o          Should be able deliver and mentor a group of offshore resources
