With the rollout of YoungStar, which includes the provision of technical assistance and making formal rating of providers, new data collection efforts that cover an array of teacher credentials plus child care quality indicators are needed. Making these data elements available to stakeholders means building web interfaces for data management is a critical job function within BITS that requires experience that goes beyond normal developer skill sets. There is a need for a highly skilled technical resource that can architect, design, develop and maintain web applications. Project duties will be to maintain and enhance applications using ASP.Net web forms as well as ASP.Net MVC. In-depth knowledge of SQL, XML and web services is also required. The person in this position will act as a lead analyst, working directly with customers to define requirements and design, code, test, and implement applications changes and enhancements and new applications. Project duties will also include implementation activities such as testing and quality assurance, and development of user documentation, training materials and help screens. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have business knowledge of DCF's Child Care applications.
