*Job Description:*
Two mid to senior level java web developers participate in the development
of companies content management system, rights management system, targeted
messaging system and platform portal. Each of these projects are
continuously being updated as new requirements come from the company's
internal and external customers.
The position will entail encoding middle and front-end tiers of a Web
application utilizing the technologies listed below. Although they are
looking for people with a strong understanding of Spring MVC this candidate
should not be overly dependent upon frameworks and should understand *front-end
fundamentals* such as the *servlet and JSP lifecycles.*
Another important aspect about this candidate is they need to have good
soft skills. The resource needs to be able to take direction, ask questions
and then deliver.
Experience with design patterns and web applications
*Strong understanding of the following items:*
- Spring 3.X MVC
- Tiles 2.0
- Servlets/JSPs
- JSTL EL Syntax
- Error Handling
- Validators
- Filters
*Strong understanding of the following client side technologies/frameworks:
*
- JQuery 1.7
- XHTML
- CSS 1 & 2
Basic Unix skills (SSH/tunneling, navigating Unix environment, SCP/SFTP to
transfer files)
Ability to research and solve problems on his/her own using Google,
newsgroups, vendor support and other external resources
Ability to analyze business requirements and identify possible gaps,
missing scenarios, etc.
Engineer (design and code) solution in the most clear, concise and optimal
way possible based on time and other constraints
Review existing code and recommend refactoring where applicable
Responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of projects
