Full Name : Location : Contact Number : Email : Availability : Visa Status : *Requirement Details* Sr. Database Administrator Location: Santa Clara, CA 12 Months Contract. *Job Description:* *Essential qualifications:* BS in CS/EE with minimum 10 years of experience as hands on an Oracle DBA. * Excellent understanding of Oracle technologies and related product / technologies used in replication such has Golden Gate. * OCP certification (at least in past). * Must have worked in services with 99.995% or more uptime/SLA. * Worked in services requiring 10minutes of Response Time to Incidents including experience in carrying on-call rotation pager. * Experience in implementing local recovery and disaster recovery * Must have worked on databases systems with more than 10TB Oracle RAC. * Must have working experience with Oracle 11g & 10g RAC with Active-Active setup. * Must have experience working with Golden Gate and troubleshooting. * Experience in setting monitoring including Enterprise Grid Control. * Must have working experience with scripting and automation. * Good understanding of Linux OS. * Experience in setting monitoring of databases and related technologies. * Knowledge of MySql database will be preferred. * Proven experience in database infrastructure planning and development. * In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and compliances such as PCI, SAS70. * Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required. * Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. * Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. * Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. * Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal abilities. * Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience. * Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
