This individual will support the Securities and FDW business team within
Enterprise Data Services . The individual will contribute to the on-going
support and maintenance of client’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, a critical
system in client’s daily business operations.
This mission of this individual will be to ensure that Fannie Mae’s
corporate data repositories are up to date with the highest quality
information. To achieve goal, the individual will be required to understand
the business process and actively engage in application development through
all testing phases to production and ensure that business requirements are
consistently represented and satisfied. The successful candidate will have
strong data analysis and problem solving skills, and will be expected to
work collaboratively to identify root causes of data issues and establish
In addition, the individual will also assist in establishing and executing
operational procedures for business continuity planning and operational
risk management, including the development new metrics and reporting
focused on the data quality and effectiveness of the data warehouse
*Required Experience: *
-The successful candidate will be smart, inquisitive, highly motivated to
succeed within a team environment, and will be dedicated to delivering high
quality data to our key stakeholders.
-The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, critical
thinking, communication skills, along with a superb attention to detail.
-A solid understanding of data warehouse / database concepts is required.
Strong data analysis skills using SQL/MS Access is also required. Previous
experience in financial services industry is highly preferred.
-Previous experience working in a production IT environment, ideally with
an enterprise data warehouse or other relational database management system
is also highly preferred.
-Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards
*Preferred Experience: *
-Experience in the secondary mortgage industry, knowledge of securities
accounting, or understanding of capital markets operations. Knowledge of
securities data repositories, such as Bloomberg is preferred.
-Previous project management experience is preferred.
-Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting,
Finance, or Business Administration is preferred
