Job Title: Websphere Admin
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience: 8+ years
*ROLE:* *Websphere Admin*
This person will assist with installing, maintaining and monitoring the WAS
environment for Oracle’s Customer Care &
Billing System Application. Services to be performed will include, but not
be limited to, the following:
• Responsible for WebSphere WAS environments installation, configuration
and administration in support
• Participates in design sessions and collaborates in technical teams in
system implementation for a complex integration solution.
• Support project team activities in development, test, and production
• Implements clustering and disaster recovery configurations as required.

Minimum (Required): Insert specific minimum skills for this Contract
Yes Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Business or computer field OR
5 Proven experience in implementing complex integration solutions with high
5 Ability to communicate effectively with audience of varying technical
5 Strong technical knowledge in WebSphere Application server installation,
failover and high availability
5 Experience with the following WebSphere technology adapters: JMS, JDBC,
5 Experience in distributed systems using the J2EE Technologies for various
5 Experience in deployment of J2EE application Archives (war, ear) on
5 Extensive knowledge of J2EE Architecture (JSP, EJB, JDBC, JNDI, JMS,
and administration including implementation, fail-over, scaling and
Web server setup, complex secure sockets layer (SSL) configuration on IBM
integrated with WebSphere.
3 Experienced in applying patches and plug-ins for WebSphere Application
3 Experienced working with IBM on PMR’s.
2 Experienced in SOA technologies ( ESB, SCA, SDO, CBE), message transport
2 Experience in implementing solutions based on SOA, JEE, and Web Services
4 Experience with the following WebSphere technology adapters: JMS, JDBC,
4 Proven experience in implementing complex integration solutions with high
Preferred (Optional): insert specific preferred skills for this Contract
1 Knowledge of the Utility Industry
1 Knowledge of Oracle’s Customer Care & Billing system
technologies (MQ, JMS, (S), HTTP(S), SSL), Web Services Technologies (SOAP,
WS-*) data mapping and transformation technologies (XML, XSD, XSLT, XPATH),
data base technologies (JDBC, Oracle/SQL)
WebSphere products including Integration Developer 6.1-7.0, Process Server
Enterprise Services Bus 6.1-7.0, WebSphere Application 6.1.
