Title: Biztalk Technical Manager Duration : 6+ Months Location : Waltham,MA Overall Exp: 10 plus years Primary Skill: Biztalk and sharepoint 1.Incumbents will lead a team responsible for performing programming work in developing, delivering and maintaining technology based business solutions in .NET environments. 2.Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the design, development, implementation and support of designated information systems and software applications. 3.The application development manager is empowered to establish and implement standards and practices to ensure the highest degree of software quality. 4.Position works with staff to ensure adequate, proactive involvement of application development staff with other support teams. 5.The application development manager demonstrates knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle and various techniques for creating a high quality team. 6.Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code. 7.Reviews include reviews of in-house developed code, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors. 8.Under the direction of the VP Information Systems & Development, this position provides leadership and oversight to all Information Systems & Development staff. 9.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • 1.Technical supervisor of a diverse team of application developers responsible for all aspects of software development. 2.Direct supervision of all resources include planning and assigning the activities of the development team in the design, development, and system analysis required to create new software applications. 3.Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of staff development/training procedures and policies as well as provide training, coaching, and mentoring. 4.Assist in the professional and technical development of the application development team members enabling them to set technical goals, monitor, mentor, coach, and assist team to deliver quality software code. 5.Implement software development methodologies, best practices, and work standards to achieve the highest code deployment quality while continuously improving performance, productivity and execution of development team. 6.Take directives from Senior Management and ensure tasks are performed efficiently. Facilitate communication between development team and other technology teams. continuously improve process, procedures and workflow. 7.Provide employee development and teambuilding for the application development team. 8.Monitor industry and technology trends such as emerging standards for new development techniques. 9.Review user requirements and create specifications for application design and development. Ensure, and create as needed, software development processes, practices, and operations to ensure reproducible development and high quality, while keeping costs under control. Drive overall architecture, security and signoffs of software projects. 10.Provide architectural and technical guidance for product development and database design for SQL and data historians. 11.Participate in audit activities. 12.Schedule, assign staff, and monitor project progress. 13.Keep VP Information Systems & Development and other project stakeholders regularly informed of project status, risks, issues, and schedules. 14.Participate in continuous personal and department performance improvement activities. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 1.Experience with establishing technology guidelines based on best practices in enterprise application architecture and software development. Experience working with, and in depth knowledge of core Microsoft technologies primarily BizTalk, SharePoint, Project Server, Teams Foundation server. 2.Knowledge of Teams Foundation or relative development, reporting, code repository and testing tools. 3.Ability to lead technical and procedural standards in software development life cycle (SDLC) for systems design, development, verification, and implementation. 4.Must be highly motivated and organized. 5.Multi-task and manage unstructured tasks within specific guidelines and time constraints. 6.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. 7.Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP). 8.Knowledge of .Net framework programming languages with proficiency in both VB.NET & C#. 9.Knowledge of SharePoint and experience working in the role as a contributor at a minimum. Knowledge of Design Patterns and experience with MVC. 10.Knowledge of standard concepts such as HTML and JavaScript, User Interface, Object Oriented concepts, Use Case and basic UML Diagrams. 11.Knowledge of relational databases with emphasis on SQL query language and stored procedures. EXPERIENCE 1. 8+ years working as Team Lead in development role or equivalent Technical Leadership managing employees. 2. 10+ years developer experience with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET. 3. 10+ years working with SQL Server or combined with other RDMS such as Oracle. 4. 8+ years working with Web Services, REST, WCF, SOA or other service model such as BizTalk. 5.
