We have a Direct Client Requirement for you and the details are as follows *Job:* *Progress Developer* *Location:* Cleveland, OH *Duration:* 15+ months *Interview:* Skype *Job Description:* *Position Responsibilities: * - The Senior Analyst/Developer will layout, document, develop and maintain applications to support Stores Point of Sale. - Individual will work with external vendors to evaluate hardware and software need in stores. Will need to understand how these products can be integrated within the stores infrastructure. - Prepare functional specifications for a given task. Develop and test applications. Work with business users to determine if application meets business requirements. - Develop implementation plan to initiate applications in field. - Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise. *Experience Required: * 5 - 7 yrs. Experience in programming *(Progress Developer)* Fundamental understanding of relational databases and Linux operating system. *Preferred:* Progress 4GL RDBMS, Java, JBOSS, Web development, Linux/Unix experience, shell scripting, SUN Solaris. *Education Required:* Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or equivalent experience. *Additional Comments:* Good Oral and written communication skills. Organized and able to prioritize tasks. Ability to work with other groups to understand and develop applications critical to store operations.
