*Role:: **Iteration Manager* *Location:: Columbus, OH* *Duration:: 12+ months* *Job Description::* *Relevant Experience* (in Yrs) 2 - 4 Years as Iteration Manager *Technical/Functional Skills* Leads all aspects of a general information technology project or multiple, small-scale IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication and cost. Applies project management and systems development lifecycle process to small information technology projects from the original concept through the final implementation as well as ensures that the projects are aligned with Nationwide standards and IT strategies. Coordinates the activities of the project team. *Technology Stack:* • Java/J2EE • Spring MVC • HTML • CSS • Javascript • Subversion • Object Oriented Design • jQuery • ORM frameworks *Roles & Responsibilities * 1. Continuously monitors team throughput and/or velocity to achieve iteration goals and commitments 2. Uses technical and functional knowledge to remove roadblocks within the standing team and identify technical risks (e.g., risks with architecture, design, patterns, performance, etc.); communicates obstacles requiring outside resolution to the Project Manager 3. Facilitates effort or design estimates with the team to support release, iteration and project forecasting/funding processes within the Business Solution Area (BSA) 4. Ensures the team is ready to accept the work into the release team by inspecting the quality of functional requirements for release or iteration planning (e.g., business requirements use cases, stories, etc.) 5. Leads iteration planning collaboratively, working with the Business Lead or Product Owner to build and maintain a prioritized product backlog 6. Leads retrospective, daily standup and show-and-tell meetings — if applicable — to encourage collaboration, communication, feedback and learning among the team 7. Communicates with project dependencies to create transparency into the standing team's activities and progress, supporting program/project risk management, issue escalation and status reporting 8. Drives team performance by eliminating waste and fostering an environment of continuous improvement, including facilitating decision making and protecting the team from outside forces and distractions 9.
