*Description:*



*MUST HAVE*

·         Good communication skills since they will be taking calls from
Ericsson's customers

·         Flexibility to work in shifts

·         Good System Administration experience on both Unix AND Windows
platforms with some scripting (Powershell, Python, Perl, PHP is preferred
but not must)

·         2 years' experience monitoring tools or ticketing system like
Remedy for Ticket Resolution. They currently use Nagios or Cacti
(monitoring tool) which acts as a ticketing system.


*GOOD TO HAVE*

·         Experience on Cloud technologies (ANY OF EC2/AWS, Azure or
Openstack)

·         Experience on ANY OF node.js or bootstrap or angular

·         Experience on ANY OF MongoDB or Cassandra or Hbase or CouchDB or
Couchbase or Dynamo or MemcacheDB or any No SQL database


As a Service Reliability Engineer, your mission is to own and improve
service availability through monitoring and incident resolution. You will
have your hand on the pulse of the service and will have a key role in
responding to live service issues as well as contributing to the automation
and tooling efforts that will allow us to scale with high availability. You
will support everything from service development to live service response,
as we continuously deploy new and innovative functionality for our customers

*Requirements:*

·         Work on-shift as part a 24x7x365 operations center; flexible day
or night

·         Identify the priority and criticality of incoming alerts and
prioritize appropriately

·         Handle high-pressure situations with a calm and professional
manner

·         Understand and edit scripting conventions to resolve issues

·         Escalate significant issues to service, network, or other
operations engineers at all hours of the day/night

·         Track issues through ticketing systems and follow through until
resolution

·         Write clear, and concise operational runbooks

·         Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and trends

·         Aggressively troubleshoot and multitask to maintain service
availability and performance



*Technologies:*

·         MongoDB, node.js/IIS on Azure/AWS/Openstack, C#, .Net a plus

·         Python, Perl

·         Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio, Keynote, CDN, DNS

·         Knowledge of IP networking, network analysis, performance and
application issues using tools like fiddler and wireshark


*Qualifications:*

·         Bachelor's Degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent experience; 2+ years
of relevant experience with Windows/Unix systems fundamentals, monitoring,
cloud services, networking, storage, database, and application knowledge;
Solid communications skills
