*Length: 1 year contract* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Seeking a Server Architect with multi-platform hardware (X86, Itanium, P-series, Z-series, and PA-RISC) and OS (UNIX, Enterprise UNIX, Windows, Linux, Mainframe) as well as virtualization knowledge of VMware, PowerVM and HPVM, in addition knowledge to deliver technical infrastructure solution designs and guidance to the organization. Looking for a person who possesses more than operational knowledge; looking for experience with integrating applications onto servers and familiarity with Java (JEE, JSE) and platforms (WAS and Tomcat). Systems design with UML, scripting, DBMS (UDB, SQL Server, Sybase) a plus. Individual must possess good communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to manage conflict and deal with ambiguity.
