Provide Support for production Application databases with respect to availability, reliability, and integrity ii. Work with responsible Applications personnel, coordinate testing of new DBMS Releases and Upgrades iii. Perform Database disk space Capacity planning for production Application databases to meet growth requirements as forecast by Applications; reallocate as necessary iv. Perform all required tasks related to Database Patch Management v. Develop and Maintain utilities to automate Problem determination, Change implementation, and Monitoring activities vi. Optimize Performance of production Application Databases by tuning and reorganizing production Databases as needed vii. Provide Support for Applications Databases in the development and test environments viii. Create new Databases and Application Database objects (e.g., tables, indexes, procedures); as requirements Change, Update data structures/objects in existing Databases ix. Maintain Database privileges for all objects, and work with security specialists to maintain and improve data security x. Implement appropriate Application Database backup and recovery strategies xi. Recommend and implement DBMS-related naming standards xii.
