a)    Gather and review documentation and other existing data that can
provide insight into the existing processes surrounding PeopleSoft Finance
(A/P, A/R, GL, Procurement, etc.) and PeopleSoft HR (Core HR, ePerformance,
Time and Labor, Benefits Administration, North American Payroll, etc.) as
it pertains to key IT risk advisory activities including governance,
technology, and operational practices as well as the current state of
management’s use of the application environment.

b)    Evaluate existing processes around System Security, Change
Management, Batch Scheduling, Backup & Disaster Recovery, and Monitoring
for databases, servers, operating systems, and web services that impact the
PeopleSoft environment.

a.     EA will leverage any MAR or other regulatory work performed on these
areas already.

c)    Interview relevant personnel to understand staff expertise, roles and
responsibilities, and to gain an understanding of the existing processes in

d)    Evaluate existing approach to Business Continuity by meeting with key
stakeholders to determine level of risk considered and policies and
procedures in place for responding to business interruptions.

e)    Identify key technology controls as well as where manual mitigating
controls (i.e., data validation controls, spreadsheets) are in place and
require enhancement.

f)     Assist management in identifying and documenting key security
requirements for the PeopleSoft environment including roles and
responsibilities and aligning those with appropriate permissions within the

g)    Assist management in identifying the appropriate security design by
understanding risks and roles and aligning those roles with the correct
security configurations and administration processes.
