In this critical position, you will interface directly with various application engineering teams. You will learn a great deal about operations and development at scale and you will move quickly to improve our devops processes. Your ability to learn new technologies and drive projects to completion in our fast paced environment will elevate your career. *Responsibilities* · Work on various software engineering initiatives to improve our central tooling stack · Improve our process, update documents and conceptualize new projects · Engage application engineering teams to onboard their team, answer questions, and proactively work to improve our applications · Be an expert at our monitoring stack. · Work with teams to ensure their applications are up to standards · Spend a small portion of your day executing operational tasks *Key requirements:* - Ruby - AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, ELB, RDS, IAM, EBS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, etc.) - Puppet - Git *Desired Skills & Experience* · Software development experience · Experience with agile software development processes · Experience with one or more of the following: Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Go, or Java · Ability to learn new languages and write code · Understanding of continuous deployment environments and automation tools · Experience with Amazon Web Services (or similar cloud services platform) · Hands on experience supporting live production applications · Comfortable learning and using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
