Role: DB2 DBA Consultant Location: Loveland, CO Duration: Long-Term Client: TCS Job Description: Install and configure DB2 on AIX servers Preferably should have knowledge of DB2 databases on SAP systems Hands on Experience on Solman and DBA cockpit to monitor DB2 database. Hands on experience on DB2 database restore and recovery procedures Deploy services packs/fixes, perform upgrades, provide maintenance and support for numerous Production and pre-Production environments, independently. Database configuration and architecting knowledge Implementing and managing DR setup and HIGH availability Environment for DB2, Backup & Recovery Performance tuning Work with customers to validate business needs are met Work with application owners on change communications and scheduling Document and follow established DB2 technical procedures Troubleshoot user and system problems and resolve Helpdesk tickets, independently. Interface/communicate with various IT groups to request services, comply with all established change management procedures Provide off shift support via on call pager rotation schedule. Provide and share technical expertise with the current team.
