Greetings From , Tekshapers Inc . *Any interest in following position :* Job Role : Sr. Systems Engineer Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6+ Months *Job Description*: Description: The Senior Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house Systems and SAN infrastructure. Provide technical leadership and participate in overall technical architecture design, planning installation, and monitoring to further develop the G&K Windows server infrastructure across the organization. In addition, the Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer will work with management to achieve the goals of the business in deploying advanced technical solutions and establish and implement formal procedures, industry best practices and standards for consistency and increased productivity. The Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer will assist the Department Head in strategic direction and in mentoring and team development. Maintains all Windows servers including, applications and other technology equipment to ensure high availability of these systems to the organization. Administers all Windows server environments at G&K Services, which includes managing user accounts and passwords to maintain system security and eliminate the possibility of unauthorized system access. Maintains login scripts and security preferences to ensure only specific users have access to certain applications and documents on G&K Services servers. Ensures that all server and workstation backups are performed nightly and completed successfully. Implements and maintains a disaster recovery plan that allows restoration of corporate information onto servers or workstations in the event of hardware failure, fire, etc. Determines and implements application software standards for servers and workstations to ensure information consistency between servers and workstations. Determines application software requirements to be used for specific uses. Performs all implementation of application software on servers and workstations in accordance with established software standards. Ensures that application software is functioning properly and installs necessary updates when available. Provide design documentation of complex systems configuration components; participate in peer reviews of application design to review infrastructure system components. Provide other related documentation and technical specifications for defined solutions including Backup/recovery needs and retention. Recovery documentation and support documentation Prepare Project plans, cost analysis and vendor comparison analysis documents. Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures for systems administration, usage and disaster recovery. Performs ongoing technical tasks/projects and manages escalation within technical support team Function as an advisor within the technical services organization Develops and maintains formal procedures for consistency and increased productivity Utilizes best practices, technology and other resources to maximize technical support effectiveness Ensures timely and proper resolution and escalation of issues. Coordinate with development, Security team and project teams for Systems design needs and network architecture requirements. Design systems architecture and deploy solutions for business applications that reside on the corporate infrastructure, including SAN, Servers, UPS, Switch technologies and other hardware. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed, providing network statistics and reporting. Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, and network appliances. Preferred Project or Engagement background. 10+ years responsible for implementing/supporting large enterprise networks. Experience with providing leadership for projects in a team environment. Experience with switching technologies, VLAN , Trunking. Experience with security products. Experience with Window Active directory and Microsoft product suite. Experience with TCP IP networking and addressing. Experience with SAN/NAS/iSCSI technologies. Experience with Clustering technologies and other high availability solutions Experience with VMWare Virtual servers and environment Experience with systems sizing and systems performance Experience with vendor negotiations, cost analysis and management presentations. Experience with architectural diagrams, and creating policy and procedures Experience with system Design and sizing Must have 5-7 years experience in Microsoft Windows environments with current skills in Windows 2003/2008/2012, Active directory, common Microsoft services and Microsoft BackOffice servers. Must have experience in one or more of the following: SAN XIV, blade servers HP, and virtualization (VMWare ESX,View).
