Title:* IBM Message Broker Developer (Locals)* Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration : Long Term *Job Description* This would be a long term project (probably 12-24 months). LOCAL candidates will be given strong preference, but the client is open to Skype interviews for non-local candidates as long as they are able to relocate for the duration of the project. Notes from the hiring manager § There are 322 flows that need to be migrated/documented; can keep Message Broker consultants busy for quite come time § Message Broker dev. consultants to get in and understand exactly what’s going on with the flows and then document § CLIENT moving to apache camel (open source) from IBM § There’s zero documentation right now, so lots has to be created § Dev. experience/coding needed? Enough to translate into documentation § Java experience would be helpful but not required; no issue having a separate person writing new code § What would make this person stand out: strong communication & documentation skills. § Will be interfacing w/folks on the domain level; partner/vendor interface & communication We are looking for *IBM Message Broker developers. *We are actively migrating away from MB. We need a couple folks that can dig into our existing broker flows, reverse engineer them, create specs for the replacement integration. Some of this stuff was written 10 years ago, documentation is sketchy, sometimes our source code is not actually what is in prod. So…. We need folks that can dig in, figure stuff out, if we point them in the right direction can hunt down answers, etc. Job Description We are looking for a professional IBM Message Broker Developer with § Overall 5 years plus of development experience from a technical delivery background in middleware and Websphere Application Server, Websphere Message Broker and MQ. § Hands on experience of implementing IIB projects § Hands on experience in agile based development is must. Good trouble shooting skills in real-time multitasked applications. § Ability to work independently, work in a fast paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction. § Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team. § Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. § Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to use proven problem-solving approaches to most solutions.
