Should have at least 5 years of PM Management We need someone who is available long term for this role, at least 18 months. MSFT experience is preferred, but not required. Degrees/Certifications: No specific degrees or certifications required. Disqualifiers: Someone who has not worked with Accessibility and is not familiar enough with the standards to communicate what’s missing to the appropriate teams. Best v. Average: The best candidate has worked with MSFT Accessibility standards in the past, they have managed a large project from end to end, working with multiple teams both technical and non-technical Performance Indicators: We need this person to understand the results, articulate it back for remedy. There will be goals set and priorities set for how we can get the sites fully accessible. How has this person demonstrated that they could take a website that had accessibility challenges to then work with the developers to resolve it? This is a gap on our team. Should be able to articulate why there was a failure. When a screen reader ran through the HTML code, there was an error, can this person communicate that to the 3rd party developer so that it can be remediated. Using PMO best practices and standards, partner with the Microsoft product/program managers to facilitate a project management process to fit their needs, and oversee and execute on that process/plan. Create, maintain and control the project schedule and dashboard, facilitate meetings, and proactively identify risks to the project. Shepherd the Project Team through the Release process, being mindful of all requirements. Facilitate program communications, identify and implement continuous improvement practices, and provide regular status reports as required. Engage with Microsoft's executive leadership as necessary to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress. Skills: 8+ years of project management experience, Master's degree required, PMI Certification required. Knowledge/background in software industry products/services/applications, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft's products/services/applications preferred. Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues. The ideal candidate will have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others. Must have excellent communication skills, experience working with external vendors, strong project management skills, and demonstrated success in adult learning and training principles/skills.
